Dang, so eerily similar in the opening to Nirvana or dare I say it… Hole. This track hauntingly moves through the staples of the Seattle scene, Nirvana, Soul Asylum, and a bit of aggressive Mark Arm vocal in the chorus. Okay, I know the Mudhoney reference is a bit of a stretch, but you can feel the overwhelming passion in Will Marsh’s gravelly strung out chorus… “YOU MAKE ME FEEL!”
This is a great tune, the melodies throughout are really bright and bold. I enjoyed the straight grunge rock element, the brash vocal, and sloppy rock kit styles. The verse is catchy storytelling amidst complementary drum and bass and washy guitar virtuoso.
